Whether you are planning your first break away in a motorhome and are hiring a leisure vehicle or have owned a motorhome for many years where you decide to park up for the night is important. Yes, there are some people who are quite happy pulling over in a layby having checked they are allowed to camp overnight. Many, like to plan their stop-offs in advance.

If you are in the latter category then there are so many things that you will no doubt wish to take into consideration. For instance, do you prefer to stay on a campsite that is fully equipped with toilet, shower and kitchen facilities so that you do not need to use your own or would you rather get out in the middle of nowhere and enjoy some wild camping.

One thing is certain – you will need to eat and drink. So, when planning where to stay, you will need to decide whether you are going to stock up your fridge and cupboards in the motorhome with lots of food or if you are going to be eating out a lot.

If it is the later then you might like to do a bit of research to locate campsites that happen to be in close proximity to the likes of a lovely inn that happens to serve good food. In fact, you may find some pubs that own an adjacent field that they have turned into a campsite with things like toilet, shower and kitchen facilities. An increasing number of inns are now doing breakfasts so this could mean you don’t need to get the pan out to boil some eggs.

A great way of identifying such locations is by using the Internet. Quite simply, why not just type something like “campsites near pubs” into your browser’s search box and you will be presented with a number of websites detailing campsites that are located close to inns some of which will no doubt permit motorhomes on them.

We hope that you enjoy your next trip away in your motorhome as well as the food at a nearby pub.
