As 2023 gets underway, you probably do not want to leave it too long before you commence booking your forthcoming short breaks or longer holidays that you intend to take at some point this year. This is particular important if you are going to try to get away in busy holiday periods such as the bank holidays and in the summer months when it is hopefully that little bit sunnier and warmer.
So, why is this? Well, it is always sensible to plan ahead and book your holidays well in advance of when you would like to take them as it can get quite busy but it is possibly more important these days as there are a lot more families and couples who are enjoying taking a break in a motorhome. Some people have invested in purchasing a motorhome as a result of COVID 19 preferring to stay closer to home and holiday in the UK or have decided to rent a motorhome for a weekend or a week or two. If there are more people doing this then this means that there could be a shortage of available pitches at campsites around the UK.
If you plan ahead then you are more likely to be able to get on a campsite that is your first choice than perhaps have to settle for “second best”. The quality campsites tend to book up quickly so don’t delay your planning. Having booked a quality site it is one thing less to have to think about. You can then focus on things like what places of interest you can visit whilst enjoying your break or holiday. You can even book a few lovely inns to have lunch and/or dinner in to give you a break from cooking in your motorhome.
If you are planning on travelling further afield in Europe i.e. France, Spain or Italy then you will also need to sort out how you are going to get across the English Channel. Planning this now will give you peace of mind.
Wherever you end up going in 2023 for your motorhome short break or holiday we trust that you and your family have a most enjoyable time.
