It will probably not come as a surprise to read that there has been an increasing number of people here in the UK either looking to buy a motorhome or campervan or hire one in 2021. Of course, a major reason for this is due to the pandemic.

A lot of people in the UK have probably decided not to plan to take a family holiday overseas and instead plan to stay closer to home. Some will no doubt prefer to spend a few days in a family hotel or a bed and breakfast but others will probably prefer the greater freedom provided by buying or hiring a motorhome or campervan.

You only have to look on the Internet to read about the increased demand for leisure vehicles – i.e. motorhomes and campervans. This is excellent and welcome news for those businesses involved in the sale and/or hire of such vehicles as some of those businesses will no doubt have had a difficult trading period in 2020.

If you are looking to buy a motorhome then you will need to consider whether to buy a new one or a used vehicle. If money were no object, a lot of people would prefer to purchase a brand new vehicle whether that is to fund the purchase from savings or take out a loan to cover part of the purchase price. Equally, if you are considering buying a second-hand motorhome you will need to decide whether to do so by using your savings or taking out a loan.

If you are considering hiring a motorhome or campervan you will be pleased to read that there are many companies renting out such vehicles. Therefore, you might like to shop around although if demand is high then you may not have too many options available to you so, potentially, the sooner you make a decision the better.
