The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has been around for about twelve months here in the UK and nobody knows when it will end. Many people have been working from home often setting up their laptops in the kitchen, dining room, lounge or a spare bedroom. Whilst that arrangement works for a lot of families some home workers can be disturbed by noisy children and would prefer to work 9am to 5pm somewhere quieter.

In this respect, why not consider working from your motorhome that you keep on your drive. After all, it is not being used for what it was originally intended at the moment as we are not allowed to venture away from our homes unless it is of a necessity and taking the family away for a weekend break by the sea is hardly a necessity.

You should easily be able to set up your laptop in your motorhome or campervan and with a mobile phone in situ you should be able to conduct your work in peace and quiet. When you need to take a lunch break you can easily pop back into your home and prepare it and if you need a coffee break you can do likewise.

There were a lot of motorhomes sold in the UK last year as people were concerned that they would not be able to board a plane to enjoy an overseas holiday. Those people were no doubt anticipating that they would have been able to take a break somewhere in the UK but alas this was not the case. Those motorhomes are not being utilised at the moment so why not do just that.

However, before doing so, you may wish to speak with your motorhome insurance company to check if you are covered for using your recreational vehicle as an office and, if so, are there any limitations. If you would like a competitive quote to insure your motorhome or campervan without any obligation why not get in touch with us today.
