Apparently, there has been an increase in people considering buying motorhomes here in the UK. This will no doubt be welcomed by those businesses involved in the sale of both used and new motorhomes.

So, why has there been increased interest? Well, one factor is no doubt due to the impact of the pandemic. After all, who knows when people will be able to freely travel abroad whether that is within Europe or somewhere more exotic. There will probably be people considering buying a motorhome who have previously boarded a plane to go on holiday overseas who may prefer to holiday in the UK for a year or two as they may feel safer doing so due to COVID-19.

Another reason is that it has only been possible since the beginning of June that motorhome showrooms have been able to open to people to come and look around such vehicles. Therefore, it is not surprising that there has been a rise in the number of people wanting to view motorhomes.

However, due to the pandemic, many people have less disposable income so how will some people be able to afford to buy a motorhome? Will we find that some motorhome sales businesses decide to offer discounts on motorhome prices to encourage more sales or will they include a few optional extras as standard?

Obviously, it is early days yet as motorhome showrooms have been open for less than two weeks to potential customers who want to come along and view and test-drive a new or second hand motorhome. It will be interesting to see if the number of potential motorhome buyers increases even further in the coming weeks. It will also be interesting to monitor if any motorhome manufacturers bring out new models in the next few weeks to entice potential buyers and will they offer incentives to possible buyers. We will continue to keep our readers updated.
