According to research carried out on behalf of Lifesure, 41% of people living in the UK would love to give up their day job and spend their time living in a campervan travelling around in it. We are sure that our readers will agree, this is a high figure.

The survey was undertaken between the 5th and the 7th November 2019 with 1,007 adults in the UK taking part who get behind the wheel of their car on at least one occasion in a week and who have, in the last year, had a holiday overseas.

It is interesting just how many people are attracted to changing their lifestyle but perhaps this does not really come as a surprise when you consider how stressful life can be these days for some people. Apparently, one in six of the people taking part in the survey were in the throes of giving up the hassle of day to day living and 14% had actually already done so and given up their job to take to the high road.

26% of people taking part in the survey said they would love to live in a motorhome with 32% preferring a log cabin but the most popular choice for people to live in was in a beach cabin with 37% of people choosing this type of accommodation.

The survey looked at where people would like to go in a motorhome and the top five places were California, Route 66, Great Ocean Road, the Greek Islands and the South of France.

As you can see, there is obviously a huge appeal for some people here in the UK to change their lifestyle, give up their jobs and take to the roads. Nowadays, it is possible to find a motorhome or campervan that is suitably kitted out and of a reasonable size for people to be able to take up residence in it and enjoy travelling around the UK, the rest of Europe and other destinations around the world.
