If you enjoy taking a number of breaks each year then there are so many options open to you such as staying in a hotel, bed and breakfast or renting a holiday cottage. In addition, another option is to go on holiday in a motorhome or campervan.

There are a number of benefits of owning a motorhome. For instance, you can make a decision almost at the drop of a hat to get away for the weekend if the weather is forecast to be favourable. After all, it doesn’t take long to load up the vehicle with food and drink, fill up with diesel and make for the coast or countryside.

Obviously, if you intend to sleep on a campsite then you will need to contact them to make sure that they have availability but if the worst came to the worst you could always find say a layby to park up for a night or two. A motorhome is so flexible in this respect.

It is probably easier to travel around in when compared with pulling a caravan. It is easier to drive around on narrow country roads.

Potentially, you could actually live in your motorhome on a permanent basis and also benefit from moving from place to place say every 6 or 12 months. This enables you to see so many parts of the UK or indeed overseas that you may have not got to stay in.

If you are a dog-owner then it is often easier to be able to bring your pet with you in a motorhome than to find a hotel that is truly dog friendly.

A great benefit is that it enables a family to bond closer together in what is quite a confined space. You have to be more considerate towards one another. You are more likely to sit down as a family and talk as opposed to spending hours on your mobile phone or Ipad in your home keeping away from other family members.

You are probably going to meet like minded people who also own a motorhome and find that you have a lot in common with them resulting in you making long-term friendships. You could take part in some motorhome rallies where a number of motorhome owners meet up in their vehicles a couple of time a year.

There are no doubt many other benefits of owning a motorhome but we hope that the above gives you a flavour for some of them.
